Many windy places calm by nightfall. But when the North wind kicks up, it blows all night and great waves form on the otherwise mellow Bahia on the Sea of Cortez, kiteboarding and windsurfing paradise! This little piece is done with a palette knife for great texture.
About Lynee Sapere
Lynee Sapere is an award winning painter whose artwork is featured in galleries and shows in California, Washington and Oregon. Her current work is primarily in oils and acrylics employing contrasting textures and luminosity, often juxtaposing thick palette knife passages with thin washes reminiscent of her roots as a transparent watercolorist. The subjects often include figures and people recreating as well as iconic West Coast scenery. Lynee is fascinated by abstractions and enhancing color while also embracing order, design and realism.
