When light hits a cat's eye just right, they have an eerie glow. This was my sweet little yellow kitty, who I painted many times! (they always seem to be posing and tempting us!) This is a little oil done on clear sealed natural oak and the wood grain is visible in the amber areas of the face and background.
About Lynee Sapere
Lynee Sapere is an award winning painter whose artwork is featured in galleries and shows in California, Washington and Oregon. Her current work is primarily in oils and acrylics employing contrasting textures and luminosity, often juxtaposing thick palette knife passages with thin washes reminiscent of her roots as a transparent watercolorist.
